Creativity
Mr T Markham wrote a paper The Politics of Journalistic Creativity. The author presented a theoretical explanation of a fascinating characteristic of journalism operating within the confines of markets, house style, blogs, social media.
My study of the paper provided an opportunity to look at Creativity from a perspective offered by Scripture and Liturgy.
Genesis
The Creation in Genesis describes a passage from darkness, void of form, to the glory of man.
Let us create man
God saw it was good
God rested
These three stages recount
The doing, the act, Let us create
Appreciating the result, God saw it was good
Leisure to enjoy, and referesh; to hallow rest after Creating, God rested
Here is a vigorous model of creativity.
Liturgical Hymns and Sequences
The hymns and sequences share a lively pattern of Creativity.
Deus Creator omnium
Lucis Creator optime
Veni Creator Spiritus
Veni Sancte Spiritus
Lucis Creator Optime
Lucis creator optime,
lucem dierum proferens,
primordiis lucis novæ
mundi parans originem
Word Values
optimas: aristocratic, the nobility - here, something refined, namely, appealing to gracefulness, rather than to entitlement.
proferre, bring forth, enlarge, quote, publish.
primordium, beginning, namely the essential origin.
parare, prepare, get ready, provide, intend, set about; procure, get, buy; arrange
mundus, toilet, gear; universe, world, heavens; mankind.
A Synopis
Light's creator, most excellent
Publishing the light of days
Essence of new light
Arranging the origin of all
A Model for any Confine
Thus, when I speak of Creativity, here is its model, operable in any confine
